Octopus

Our Favourite game to play in the Concourse is "Octopus"!

We made a Flower!

Today we talked about flowers. The students came up with the different parts of a flower. They chose which part of a flower they wanted to be. Together we worked as a team to make one class sized flower with our bodies! GREAT TEAM WORK, FRIENDS!

Different Types of Lines with Mrs. Blackie

Questions and Comments

Today we learned the difference between a question and comment! We learned about some of the different words we can use to start a question.

Practice at Home!
Ask your child to ask you a question.
Try using these words to ask a question:
Who
What
Where
When
How
Then ask them to say a comment.

Books Made by our Kindergarten Class

We have been working hard at making our classroom books. These books are based on the interests of the students. We choose a topic together as a class and then we write a sentence and draw a picture on that topic. We wrote a book about love for Valentine's Day and a book about our favourite sport to honor the Olympics. We are currently working on a book about Spring because we are all anxious for Spring to arrive!
The students love reading these books! We are very proud of our Kindergarten class for doing their best printing, and drawings!

Happy March Break!

March Break is here!
We are running low on classroom supplies. We would greatly appreciate if you could bring in the following items;
-glue sticks
-regular markers
-1 box of tissues
-craft material (anything your child would enjoy making a craft with)

Thank you for your support.
Have a wonderful and safe March Break!
Mrs. Iversen and Ms. Alic :)

We have lost 3 teeth so far!

Re-enacting The Three Little Pigs

Today we heard a different Three Little Pigs story. This one was very different from yesterday's story. Ask your child what the differences were in the 2 stories? What was the same?

We built our own straw, stick and brick houses and Ms. Alic (The Big Bad Wolf) Huffed and Puffed and blew the straw and stick houses down! But not the brick house! It was too sturdy!
