Hard at Work!

Proud of you, Liam, Milo & Drew for all your efforts in our morning sentences! The JKs are really beginning to sound out unfamiliar words and identify more and more of their popcorn words. Meanwhile, I am encouraging our SKs to try out new sentences starters, like "If I was a superhero...", "I smile when..." or "If I were the teacher, I would..." and to add and refer to our class word wall. Some new (and popular!) words on our Word Wall are: Darth Vader, horses, hamsters, Starwars and minions. ...I can see our interests!

Thanks for Sharing, Sia!

Sia brought in a very special object for her Show & Tell. Sia built our suspense by giving us clues as to what could be in her treasure chest... a glow-in-the-dark soccer medal! Great work at soccer, Sia and thanks for sharing!

Continuing to Make our Volcano!

Earlier in the week, we missed flour, salt and water to make dough for our volcano. The dough didn't harden as well as we had hoped, so Shanaya Myah, Madison, Addison and Peyton improved our volcano by gluing tissue paper and construction paper to it. While outside, Milo collected rocks for the base of our volcano and suggested we make dinosaurs to add to it. Great idea - we shall do that next week, Milo!

Artists in the Classroom!

Under most the drawings in our class, you will find "I Love Mom" and "I Love Dad"! These girls wanted to share! :)

Our Artists!

Lots of art always happening in the class. Congratulations, Myah for describing your artwork using words!

Thanks for Sharing Erica!

Thank you for sharing, Erica! Erica brought a fun Frozen book that we all shared. Looking forward to Sia's show & tell tomorrow!

Also, a reminder that this Friday June 5th is a P.A Day so there is no school.
