Dolphins
Within our Ocean theme, the students wanted to learn about Dolphins. Today we watched a Youtube video about Dolphins and how smart they are. Turns out Dolphins are as smart as humans! Pretty amazing!
We also read a book about Dolphins and discovered some very interesting facts about them.
Dolphins are mammals like us!
They belong to the whale family.
They eat fish and squid.
They can live in colder (not freezing) and warm ocean water.
Dolphins make clicking sounds that pass through the water as sound waves. The sound waves hit an object, they bounce back to the dolphin. This helps them find different objects, or food.
We also learned about the different parts of a Dolphin.
